Acupuncturist

Dr. Nila Jalali, DACM, L.Ac.

Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist

Dr. Nila Jalali studied biology and communications at UNLV, where she received her bachelor’s degree. During her final semester, at just 21 years young, she started her first business – an all-organic juice bar and café. Zen Juice launched in suburbs of Las Vegas, followed by a second location in Huntington Beach, California. Zen Juice’s motto, “Drink Good, Do Good, Feel Good,” embodied healthful principles, encouraging healthy eating and lifestyle.

Having established a successful business, Dr. Jalali looked to take an in-depth approach to health and wellness—beyond food and nutrition—leading her to Eastern Asian Medicine which, in her own words, “immediately fascinated me.” Dr. Jalali soon relocated to San Diego to attend Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM)—at the time, the second highest rated TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) school in the U.S.

Dr. Jalali earned her Master’s of Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) at PCOM.

Prior to completing her doctorate and starting her private practice, Dr. Jalali worked as a certified pharmacy technician and a medical assistant. Both positions allowed her to work closely with M.D.s. She went on to complete her externship at Rady’s Children Hospital in the Oncology/Hematology department.

Dr. Jalali is passionate about providing an integrative setting at the junction of Western and Eastern medical care.

Dr. Jalali is fluent in Farsi and speaks conversational Spanish. In her downtime, she enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling to remote places, and spending time with her dogs Leo and Pashmak.
